I was lucky enough to be invited to attend the Big IF event in London this Saturday. I am so gutted that we are away and I am unable to go as I think it is going to be a fantastic time. If you are able to make it to Hyde Park on Saturday, then I would really recommend making the effort. You can find out more information and register here. I am certain this is going to be a momentous moment for tackling world hunger issues.
At 11.30am, in Westminster Central Hall, there will be the Big IF Church Service, which will be an opportunity to gather with other people to pray for and remember those who go hungry every day.
At 2pm, in Hyde Park, there will be the main Big IF Event. This is an opportunity to gather with thousands of other people to demonstrate against world hunger. The event will include children’s activities, live entertainment and inspirational speakers from around the world. There will also be a physical demonstration using multi-coloured children’s spinning flowers.
However, if you aren’t able to it to the event on the 8th, there are still a number of ways you can support the campaign.
I’ve signed up to receive the daily prompts so that I am reminded each day of why it’s important for us to add our voices together and pray for change to happen.
Secondly, you can spread the word. Tell people about the campaign that is happening. Show them the Hunger Museum video which was released last week. Encourage them to post links on their social media websites. The more noise that is made about this issue, the more action the world leaders will be forced to take!
You can tweet using the hashtag #BigIF on the day of the event or #IFcampaign
Please don’t read this post, nod your head and then do nothing about it! With only 3 days to go, let’s make sure as many people as possible know and support this campaign to see the start of the end of world hunger.
