I was recently invited to take part in a Kiddicare Focus Group which was an opportunity for myself and some other parent bloggers to come together to discuss and offer feedback about purchasing. It was very enlightening and relieving to hear that I wasn’t alone in some of my experiences, especially when talking about rash purchases made as a first time pregnant mum. It’s nice to know that almost everyone has ‘those’ items which you buy convinced that you will absolutely use them every single day and they are still sitting in the very same boxes gathering dust in the spare room/attic/under the bed.
It was also a rare opportunity for me to have a night out where I could have a glass of wine and not worry about driving home as I had caught the train in. Something I would never turn down!!
I do like to share my opinion and so being given the floor with regards to various questions was a lot of fun. I just hope that they found something useful out of my answers…I do have a tendency to get carried away!
It was also lovely to meet some fellow bloggers that I have spent a lot of time tweeting with, mainly Misty from It’s Misty…Seriously and Jaime from The Oliver’s Madhouse. Believe it or not, meeting bloggers is always very nerve-wracking as you feel like you know a lot about them from social media and reading their blog but then meeting face to face is a whole new ball game.
Anyway…suffice to say I had a really great night, big thanks go to Kiddicare for putting on the evening. I hope to be able to share an update with you about what the research process achieved at a later date. For now, you’ll have to stay in suspense!
