Siblings {May 2014}

dear beautiful

This month has seen the return of the team.  A little unit, in their own world, playing alongside each other.

I am sure I have said it before but I love watching their independent relationship form; the first thing they do when they wake up is start to play together and as soon as Meg gets home from school they are off, either playing outside or upstairs in their bedroom; creating memories with each other.

I know that this might not last forever but whilst it does, I am happy to just sit back and watch them learn to be together.  To be there for each other, to help each other, to make each other laugh, to fight with each other and then to do it all again.

There is something so precious about these moments and I have to constantly remind myself to not get involved.  That these times will cement their friendship for many years to come.

I’ve gone slightly overboard on the photos this month but I simply couldn’t choose.  I love them all.  We went to the beach to walk the dog and I turned my back for a few minutes to sort Pepper out and when I turned back, Meg and Eli had set up camp and were telling each other jokes.  It was far too sweet for me not to capture it.

This post is part of the Siblings project which is hosted on Dear Beautiful.

    Such gorgeous photos! Love them making each other laugh. There is something very special about watching siblings bond, and my two adore playing and giggling with each other, too. Lovely to see x

    Ahhh it so nice when they play so well together alone, I love sitting back and just observing mine, though they haven't mastered how to tell proper jokes yet…. lots of 'Knock Knoc' 'Who's there?' 'WILLY!' *hysterics*

    I love your siblings beach photos. So cute playing in the sand together. They really are growing up so fast since I first started following you. So love to see in photos. I love this project. Such a great way to focus on our kids together and their interactions.Can't wait until my littelest is older to play like this. #siblings

    Overboard on photos? Not possible – there's no such thing as too many photos, and these are just too lovely to have to choose! I love that last one especially though, their giggles and happiness are just infectious!

    So many gorgeous photos, I wouldn't have been able to choose either. It looks like they are having the best time together. And I know what you mean about having to remind yourself to just step back and let them be, it's so beautiful what you get to witness when you do. x

    Nope not twins, just very similar looking (they get it from their mum…) 🙂

    Yeah, I missed the part out where I said they were terrible 'non' jokes 🙂 They made each other laugh though!

    Not always easy but so worth it for moments like this 🙂

    Thank you. I wasn't privy to the exact joke but it seemed to be hysterically funny!

    It's so lovely to see, I have so many heart-melting moments when I hear them or see them. Of course, they do also have their share of fights but moments like this make up for them 100%.
