The School Edition
It was 10am Monday and all through the house, nothing was stirring…not even a mouse…
I feel a bit lost without my two sidekicks following me around the house but I have been so proud of the way that Eli has taken to school. That first day was a real mixture of emotions; I thought I would feel okay, and I did until we got to the playground and I saw how small he looked amongst all the other children and how he walked through the classroom door struggling under the weight of all his bags which he had been determined to carry himself…
I didn’t expect any issues with Meg and I was right, other than me no longer being allowed to kiss her on the playground in case her friends see. Tres uncool so I have been informed.
Every year, on the first day of school I take a picture of the kids holding up a blackboard saying what they would like to be when they are older. My eventual plan is to put all the pictures in a book and hand it to them when they leave home/leave for university etc…I also find it interesting to see how much they change from year to year.
From this…

Aww! How sweet! What a lovely thing to do! A great idea! I wish I had thought of it sooner! I still miss my girls when they are at school and they have been going for years x
