Just before Christmas, I decided that I wanted to try and boost our monthly income. I shared in a recent vlog that I wasn’t going to be looking for an office job anymore (after having limited success with that!) but that I wanted to continue working from home and develop my freelance business.
Of course this is all very well and good but when there are bills to be paid and food to be bought and clothing to be purchased (especially when you have rogue children who insist on putting holes in the knees of all their clothes…) it can be hard to balance the books some months.
One of the ways in which I have been boosting our income is through Swagbucks. You may have seen the banner appear on my sidebar just recently but I haven’t actually talked about what it is, and how I am using it.
In short, Swagbucks is a rewards site where you earn points (called SB) for things you’re probably doing online already, like searching, watching videos, discovering deals, and taking surveys. Then you take those points and exchange them for gift cards to places like New Look, Amazon, or PayPal cash. Different gift cards cost different amounts of SB; currently we are saving up Amazon ones to be used for
books birthdays and Christmas but it’s up to you how you use the points of course. This month we exchanged some of our points for Paypal cash to give us a little injection of cash so we could finish decorating Meg’s room and just to give you an idea, this January I will have earned over £150 and that’s just from completing surveys and doing the odd free discovery deal.
I get that this might sound like a sales pitch, or something which is a little dodgy but it really isn’t! I have talked about this with a couple of people who have also signed up and have had no issues whatsoever and the great thing is that it doesn’t have to take up a lot of your time, you can put as little or as much into it as you like.
So, what is the point of me sharing about this now? As you might have spotted from the banner above, Swagbucks are currently running a Valentine’s Offer whereby if you sign up through me this month, you can earn a 500 SB bonus!
Interested? Here’s how:-
1. Sign up using this link
2. Earn 300 SB total before 1/3/17. You’ll get a 300 SB bonus for it! (If you decide to sign up then please get in touch with me and I’ll help you with this…)
3. If you spend at least £25 through Swagbucks Shop* you’ll get another 200 SB bonus on top of the cash back you’ll get from shopping. If you have some shopping to do online, just go to Swagbucks first and visit the store through them. It doesn’t cost you anything extra, but you’ll get SB points for every dollar/pound you spend (on top of the bonus)!
*You must receive your shopping SB before 1 April
February is a month of love, and getting a 500 SB bonus from Swagbucks is their way of showing it!
